When Boris Johnson played Oculus Rift

"So, what's the point of this?"

Fresh from taking out a 10-year-old boy in a rugby game, bumbling London boss Boris Johnson has tried a virtual reality headset for what looks like the first time. His verdict?

"So, what's the point of this?"

While on a jolly to Israel, Johnson strapped an Oculus Rift to his face and played a dog simulator.

In the video below, courtesy of the BBC, Johnson narrates his experience.

"I think I'm a cat," he says. "No, I'm a dog."

Boris barks. At one point he bumps into a camera.

A dog simulator isn't, perhaps, the best virtual reality has to offer. But one wonders what might have happened had Boris played Valve's Portal demo.

Or another VR experience.
