Trenched release date announced

Trenched, Double Fine's take on the tower defense genre, digs in on Xbox Live Arcade from 22nd June.

Priced at 1200 Points, the game sees you attempting to fight off an invading alien army using giant mechs. You can take a look at the opening cinematic in the new trailer below.

It's the third downloadable game to emerge from Tim Schafer's busy studio in the past six months, following cute RPG Costume Quest last year and the delightful matryoshka doll escapade Stacking back in February.

Next up is Kinect-friendly Sesames Street tie-in Once Upon A Monster, due for release in late 2011.
