TowerFall: Dark World expansion launches tomorrow

Take a bow.

TowerFall's Dark World add-on arrives tomorrow, Tuesday 12th May, for PC and PlayStation 4.

European PS4 owners will presumably get the download when the store updates here on Wednesday.

Dark World adds a new 1-4 player co-op mode plus new power-ups, procedurally generated levels and another round of fresh characters.

New additions include Trigger Arrows, which can be detonated remotely, and Prism Arrows that trap players in a magical prison.

An addictive archery brawler, TowerFall originated on doomed Android micro-console Ouya, before, thankfully, spreading onto other platforms.

"This is the type of game that creates memories and dissolves friendships, soundtracked by the pained swears of the defeated and the uproarious cheers of the victors," Jon Denton wrote in Eurogamer's TowerFall review.

It's also the only game played in the Eurogamer office that makes the editorial team curse as loudly as the sales guys (and Wes) playing FIFA.
