There is no shiny Spritzee in Pokémon Go, but there are still good reasons why you should partake in this week's Spotlight Hour.
Below we cover why you should spend some time catching Spritzee during the hour-long window, such as the possibility of catching a 100% perfect IV Spritzee - and include a preview of shiny Spritzee for when it finally arrives in the game.

Spritzee's 100% perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go
During this week's Spotlight Hour, you have the perfect opportunity to catch a Spritzee with perfect IV stats.
While Spritzee and Aromatisse, its evolution, are not the best fairy-types competitively, they can still be quite useful until you've obtained one of the more powerful fairy-types, like Sylveon.
The CP values that correspond to perfect 15 /15 /15 values are as follows:
- Level 30 (wild CP maximum) - 1,073 CP
- Level 35 (weather boosted CP maximum) - 1,162 CP
The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach Level 30 and, since the majority of the player base is now above Level 30, we've kept to the values above to keep things simple. These values will, however, be different if you're currently below Level 30.
Is there a shiny Spritzee in Pokémon Go?
There is no shiny Spritzee in Pokémon Go.
Due to there being no shiny Spritzee in Pokémon Go at the time of writing, and because it's unlikely to be a Community Day candidate, we can expect it to be released as part of a future in-game event.
Thanks to the mainline Pokémon games, however, we do know what a shiny Spritzee looks like.
What does shiny Spritzee look like?
The mainline games give us an excellent idea of what shiny Spritzee will look like when it finally arrives in Pokémon Go. Thank you to Treniyos from YouTube who posted this video of shiny Spritzee in Pokémon Sword and Shield, with the Pokémon appearing at the 1:21 mark:
As you can see, Spirtzee's colouring focuses on darker colours, mainly purple, when compared to its traditional design.
This design has remained consistent since Spritzee's debut in Pokémon X and Y, as you can see in JBC's YouTube video below from the 0:49 mark:
Other reasons to catch as many Spritzee as possible
Despite there being no shiny Spritzee for this week's Spotlight Hour, there's still a number of reasons to catch as many Spritzees as possible:
- During Spotlight Hour you'll receive double catch stardust with every Pokémon you catch - Spritzee or not. This is an excellent opportunity to gather some more stardust if you're running low.
- Aromatisse - Spritzee's evolution - can be a useful backup fairy-type Pokémon for raids, especially if you find a Spritzee with perfect IVs.
- This year's Lunar New Year event is currently running, so, if you haven't completed it yet, catching Spritzee will help contribute to the 'Lunar New Year: Catch Challenge' timed research quest.
- If you have access to the February Catch Challenge, then you'll definitely want to take the time to catch some Spritzees and add to your overall total.
- Spritzee is a fairy-type Pokémon, so you can use this hour to add progress to your fairy-type catch medal.
Spotlight Hours lasts from 6pm to 7pm (local time) and, next week, Koffing, along with a double catch XP bonus, will be the featured Pokémon.
