Sony confirms UK date for Killzone 2

Hardware bundle on the way too.

Sony has finally confirmed Killzone 2 for a UK and Ireland release on 27th February. PAL regions will get the game two days earlier.

Retailers have stuck by the 27th February for some time, but Sony UK has been reluctant to confirm, despite nods from the American arm of the publisher.

The blockbuster shooter will also be packed inside a special 80GB PS3 bundle, which will cost GBP 299.99 and be available from launch.

That just leaves the whereabouts of a European demo to be clarified. The US, remember, has a special GameStop pre-order deal to play this from 2nd February, before everybody will be able to download the sampler a day before release on 26th February.

Killzone 2 remains one of the biggest and most anticipated games for PlayStation 3 ever. We've seen the Guerrilla-made shooter in various stages during development, and you can find our ever-changing thoughts on the Killzone 2 gamepage.

Our Killzone 2 review will arrive in the next few weeks.
