UPDATE: Testing extended until the end of the week.

UPDATE 4/6/18: PUBG Corp has announced that it will be extending the current testing period for Battlegrounds' new tropical-themed Sanhok map on PC.

As a reminder, anyone that owns a copy of Battlegrounds on Steam can get involved in Sanhok's testing. To do so, you simply need to launch the PUBG: Experimental Server, which should automatically appear in your Steam Library.

ORIGINAL STORY 29/5/18: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' tropical-themed third map, Sanhok, returns to Steam this week for what will likely be its final round of testing prior to its anticipated June launch.

Sanhok is Battlegrounds' smallest map yet, measuring just 4km by 4km - a quarter of the size of the game's already released Erangel and Miramar maps. It's designed to deliver a faster, more brutal form of Battle Royale, and Eurogamer's Ian Higton thought it had a lot of potential when he put it to the test back in April.

Sanhok has already been through several rounds of public testing ahead of its full launch, and its latest pre-release efforts will - according to PUBG Corp's new Steam post on the matter - begin on Thursday, May 31st at 7pm PDT / Friday, June 1st at 3am for those of us in the UK. Testing ends on Monday, June 4th at 4am PDT / noon in the UK.

All Steam players can get involved, simply by downloading the updated version of the PUBG: Experimental Server - which should be loitering provocatively in their Steam library.

"This will likely be the final Sanhok test on the Experimental Server," says PUBG Corp, "If everything goes according to schedule, Sanhok will come to live servers near the end of June". The developer also notes that it plans to continue making changes to Sanhok even after launch, "based on the feedback we get from you guys".
