Plants vs. Zombies coming to the DS

It's due in January next year, apparently.

Hit PopCap tower defence game Plants vs. Zombies is on the way to the Nintendo DS.

That's according to PR exec Laurie Thornton, who wrote on her Twitter page, "Plants vs. Zombies coming to the Nintendo DS - Jan 2011."

Meanwhile, Destructoid brings word that the game will feature "new and exclusive content". That's in addition to the standard mini-games, Adventure, Survival and Puzzle modes. It'll cost $19.95 in the US.

PopCap has yet to hint at a European price point or release date, but we'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, you can play PVZ on the PC, iPhone, iPad and, as of early next month, Xbox 360. Read our review to find out why you should.
