Oculus Touch is the Oculus Rift's future controller

Thumbs up.

Oculus founder Palmer Luckey has unveiled Oculus Touch, its future virtual reality controller.

The Oculus Touch.

Codenamed Halfmoon, the controllers are designed to simulate an authentic hand experience for virtual reality.

There are two controllers, one for each hand. They're wireless, so you can move and interact in the virtual world freely, and they have motion tracking, using the same tech used in the Rift headset.

Each controller has an analogue thumbstick, two buttons and an analogue trigger. They also include a "hand trigger", used to pick up, for example, a virtual gun. From there you can use your index finger to fire it. There are also haptics, so you can feel what you're touching. And finally, the controllers recognise hand poses, such as thumbs up..
