B&W2 gets release date

It's out here in October.

A post on the Lionhead Studios forum has confirmed that forthcoming PC god sim Black & White 2 will be in the shops this autumn.

"The game will be released in stores on September 30th in the US, and October 7th in Europe," the post reads.

"This is official. We are almost finished."

As you'll know if you read our recent preview, B&W2 is being billed - by Peter Molyneux himself, no less - as "a completely different game" to the original, "But in the same sort of universe."

Which means a completely rewritten engine, a bigger emphasis on moral dilemmas and real-time strategy, and of course a new selection of creatures to choose from and train. Roll on October...
