Pterodon doing new FPS

Pterodon Software has teamed up with Illusion Softworks to work on a brand new FPS game.

That's according to a statement on the Pterodon website, which reads: "Illusion Softworks and Pterodon have joined forces to create a brand new, action packed, first-person shooter IP for next-generation consoles and PC."

Illusion is the studio behind Mafia, the Hidden & Dangerous franchise and Vietcong: Purple Haze, while Pterodon produced the first two Vietcong games.

But by the sound of it, their new project won't be another instalment in the Vietcong series - you can expect something completely different instead. Except it will have guns in it, obviously.

So far no further details of the new project have been revealed, but we'll be keeping an eye out.
