Mortal Kombat to debut at Game Stars Live

Midway announces its line-up for the consumer games show, including the UK public debut of Mortal Kombat: Deception.

Midway has confirmed its line-up for Game Stars Live, and what it lacks in volume it makes up for in quality. NBA Ballers and Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy will both be there, and the event also plays host to the UK public debut of Mortal Kombat: Deception.

MK: Deception will be set up in the over-18s zone at Game Stars Live, giving gamers their first taste of the likes of Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Raiden in the series' second outing on PS2 and Xbox - some two months before it's due out.

NBA Ballers and Psi-Ops meanwhile have been picking up critical acclaim, and should also be solid fixtures. Both of those titles are due out on PS2 and Xbox in the middle of next month - shortly after the event concludes.

Just in case you've had your head in the ground recently, Game Stars Live is a brand new consumer games show running at ExCeL in London's Docklands between September 1st and 5th. From what we remember of our trip to ExCeL a couple of years ago, the fun starts before you even get there - navigating the entertaining Docklands Light Railway, or Docklands Light Rollercoaster as we dubbed it at the time.

Tickets for GSL are available from the official website here, and if you're reading this before Friday August 20th, you can still enter to win some in our competition here.
