Codies to launch gaming portal

Over 1,000 titles promised.

Codemasters has announced plans to open a brand new online games portal, complete with a catalogue of more than 1,000 titles.

Funsta.com is the first initiative from Codemasters' new Online Gaming division. The site will let you access games via browser, download-purchase, subscription, micro-transaction or through the new Funsta Arcade client.

Funsta will offer more than 300 free downloadable games at launch, along with 85 free browser webgames and 500 premium PC games, which you can try before you buy. There will also be a selection of sports management games and skill games offering prizes.

Funsta will launch in September - in the meantime, you can see how the UK site is shaping up and enter a competition to win tickets for next year's World Cup final at Funsta.co.uk.
