Armored Core PS3 dated

Could be there at launch.

Japanese weekly Famitsu reports that Armored Core 4 will arrive on PlayStation 3 this November.

In a preview partly translated by IGN, Famitsu also reveals that the game will support network play for up to eight players, and outlines the plot behind it all.

Apparently it's set in the nearish future, at a point where overpopulation has left the world short on resources. Naturally the benevolent corporations step in to help - but imposing "Pax Economica", which resides somewhere on the scale between socialism and slavery.

It's into this heady mix the player is thrust, although we don't know much else - other than there will be 30 new types of Armored Core and plenty of customisation, a mainstay of the From Software series.

We'll bring you more as and when there is any, obviously. PS3 is due to launch in Japan on November 11th and in the US and Europe on November 17th.
