New Hitman: Contracts trailer

Negotiations are ongoing.

Eidos UK dropped us a line today to point out that a new trailer has been added to the Hitman: Contracts website. Just pop over there, mute the audio, click "Downloads" and look for a little Hitman icon lingering somewhere on the image, which brings up the "Trailers" section.

Called "The Psychology Of The Assassin", this latest effort is a washed out but largely in-game trailer focusing on what we presume are some of 47's latest marks, including a morbidly obese playboy, a bowler hat wearing toff, some typical gangster-looking types and other grainy individuals.

It also shows 47 doing the old "shotgun in a box of roses" routine, whipping it out and scattering flowers in the process with a lot more grace and dignity than Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon, although that's definitely what sprang to mind. (How about in the next Hitman game he develops a drinking problem and the main challenge is keeping him upright? No? Or how about Io develops a Dog Day game? Actually no.)

Finally it shows 47 surveying a room of fallen enemies, and ends with the release date: April 30th. For those interested in the latest output from Eidos' recently acquired chums Io Interactive, it's well worth watching, even if it doesn't really tell us a great deal about the game. Other than the fact that assassins don't have all that many scruples, apparently, although we'd be surprised if that comes as a shock.

Anyway - this is actually the first in a three-part series on The Psychology Of The Assassin, so we'll be expecting another couple between now and the game's multi-format release on PS2, Xbox and PC this April 30th. Watch out for them.
