Ubisoft has confirmed that "the next iteration of the blockbuster franchise Driver" will be unveiled at E3 next month.

The publisher outlined its show line-up yesterday, promising we would get to see Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Shaun White Skateboarding and Ghost Recon Future Soldier in addition to Driver.

Beyond that, we will see "many other titles that are yet to be announced".

E3 takes place at the LA Convention Center between 15th and 17th June, although festivities kick off earlier with media events around the LA area - including Ubisoft's own press conference on Monday 14th June at 5pm PST (that's 1am Tuesday in old money).

Ubisoft acquired the rights to the Driver series when it bought Reflections from Atari in 2006 and has since said that a new Driver game will be out before next April.

Earlier this year the publisher was also caught registering domains including driversanfrancisco.com, and has previously trademarked Driver: The Recruit.
