Ubisoft registers AC and Driver domains

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood? Driver SF?

Ubisoft has registered domain names for Assassin's Creed and Driver that may point to the names of upcoming instalments.

Superannuation (thanks VG247) gets the spotter's badge for noticing driversanfransicsogame.com and assassinscreedbrotherhood.com in the Whois database of domain names. Both are registered by the French publisher.

Ubisoft has previously said to expect a a new episode in the Assassin's Creed series by April 2011, promising that it will include exciting new multiplayer features and stick with Ezio Auditore (see elsewhere for a few more details).

To that end, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood would make sense as a name. We assume the final "proper" instalment in the series will be Assassin's Creed III. Ubisoft has used names like Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines for handheld instalments in the past though, so equally it could be for something like that.

There's not much detail on the new Driver game, meanwhile, but it's due before April 2011.

We've asked Ubisoft if it can comment on the domain registrations.
