Crysis 2 DirectX 11 features revealed

Ultra Upgrade shown, then pulled.

The Crysis 2 DirectX 11 Ultra Upgrade for science-fiction shooter Crysis 2 has been revealed.

A post on MyCrysis.com, since removed but captured by user BeeDog on NeoGAF, revealed what the free upgrade will bring to PC gamers.

The screen grab is below.

To enjoy the fancy DirectX 11-fuelled visuals you'll of course need a DirectX 11 graphics card.

The DX11 Ultra Upgrade also adds visual improvement and performance optimisation to the DX9 version of the game.

A high resolution textures download, which supports the DX11 and DX9 versions of the game, will also be made available.

German developer Crytek was last week rumoured to be using DX11 as a target for next-generation console development.
