Batman: Arkham Knight delayed by a few weeks

As reports claim Batman: Arkham Collection set for PS4 and Xbox One.

Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed by a few weeks.

It is now set for release worldwide on 23rd June 2015. It had been due out 2nd June 2015.

In a statement, Rocksteady game director Sefton Hill apologised for the delay.

"We're a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it's going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy," he said.

"As a reward for your patience and understanding, and to make the wait even more unbearable, we are pleased to whet your appetite with a new gameplay video of Batman: Arkham Knight.

"Thanks so much from everyone at Rocksteady for your continued support. We are working as hard as we can to make you proud."

That new video is below. It includes seven minutes of gameplay captured from the PS4 version of the game.

Meanwhile, a couple of reports today, one from VideoGamer.com and one from IGN Italy, claim a Batman: Arkham Collection is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

This remaster includes Rocksteady's Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, but not Warner Bros. Montreal's Arkham Origins, remade with 1080p resolution visuals.

Publisher Warner Bros. declined to comment on the reports when contacted by Eurogamer.
