The Pumpkin Launcher is a special Halloween themed item which is only available in Fortnite during its yearly Fortnitemares event.

This Halloween, you might need to use the Pumpkin Launcher to complete Fortnitemares quests in Fortnite to unlock special rewards. Finding Candy could help you complete these quests as well!

Where to find Pumpkin Launcher in Fortnite

In Chapter 4 Season 4, you can find Pumpkin Launchers in Fortnite by searching:

• Floor loot
• Regular and Rare Chests
• Holo-Chests
• Flying drones

So, the easiest way to find a Pumpkin Launcher during the current Fortmitemares event is to head to locations with a lot of chests and floor loot, so you up your chances of coming across a Pumpkin Launcher.

Pumpkin Launchers take rockets as ammunition, so be sure to check ammo boxes as well as chests if you want more ammo.

Although less reliable - and a lot more risky - you can also eliminate a player who has a Pumpkin Launcher to get one.

How to eliminate an opponent with a Pumpkin Launcher in Fortnite

Once you've located it, you'll want to know how to eliminate an opponent with a Pumpkin Launcher.

Before attempting this, however, you may want to gather some additional ammo for your Pumpkin Launcher to ensure you finish the job. As mentioned, this weapon is a type of rocket launcher, so it may take some time to find the right ammunition, but it's worth doing if you want to easily complete any quest that asks you to use a Pumpkin Launcher.

There's also different rarities of Pumpkin Launcher, so an Epic purple one is going to cause more damage than a blue Rare Pumpkin Launcher.

If eliminating someone for a quest, when you find an opponent you'll want to ensure you hit them first with the Pumpkin Launcher, because, depending on their health and shield level, this might easily kill them.

If they are properly prepared for a fight, consider, depending on how much Pumpkin Launcher ammunition you have, using another weapon to whittle down their shield before launching your final attack.
