Watch: Yes, you can drift horse carriages in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

Need for steed.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate lets you drift horse carriages, Fast and the Furious-style, around London's narrow street corners.

There's even an in-game challenge for swerving around the capital's roads, titled London Drift.

Syndicate is the work of an astonishing nine Ubisoft studios, including a contingent from the Driver series developer Ubisoft Reflections.

Ubisoft hasn't detailed which elements of Syndicate that Reflections specifically worked on, but it is likely that the racing-focused studio helped fine-tune its four-wheeled transportation.

If you've read our Assassin's Creed Syndicate review then you'll know we picked out the game's horse and carriage-based transport as one of its best bits. Take a look at some footage of us playing below.

Also, I accidentally shoot a horse in front of Eurogamer's resident equine-lover Chris Bratt. He takes it better than expected.
