Watch Dogs Legion launches this October

Cor blimey.

London-set Watch Dogs Legion has a new release date of 29th October 2020.

That's for the game's PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, anyway. Editions for next-gen consoles are also coming, presumably when those consoles launch.

Legion was originally set to launch back in March, though was delayed for a little more work.

New gameplay footage shown today confirmed the changes shown in last week's leak - there are now more unique archetypes to recruit and control, building on the game's original pitch of being able to play as almost any NPC in the city.

One section of gameplay showed an infiltration of the Tower of London by either stealthy methods with drones, or an all-guns-blazing approach by a mechanic armed with a nail gun.

There was also a quick look at the game's two main antagonist factions: a black market organ harvesting and people trafficking organisation, and the city's new private military contractor Albion.
