Video: The Avengers games we're still trying to forget

Plus more from Outside Xbox.

Hi Eurogamers, and welcome to your weekly round up of video happenings from Outside Xbox, where this week, we've been playing Lego Marvel's Avengers.

Lego games might be ostensibly for kids, but just like the world's favourite plastic building bricks, they work on so many levels that anyone can have some knockabout fun with them. Show of the Week gets to know the newest Lego game, Lego Marvel's Avengers, and ponders why it is that really great games starring the Avengers are rarer than a copy of Tales of Suspense issue 39 in mint condition.

If there's one thing people love nearly as much as superhero movies, it's reality shows, and if dystopian sci-fi has taught us anything, it's that one day everyone will tire of minimally violent reality shows such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians and start demanding blood.

But why create whole new formats when you can copy them from videogames? Here are seven heinous reality shows to keep in mind when devising your programming schedule, future TV networks.

Finally this week, we've been spending some time with Assassin's Creed Syndicate's recent Jack the Ripper DLC. Assassin's Creed has always prided itself on historical accuracy, but for the framing narrative about magical space ghosts. For the DLC packs, however, it seems to be open season on supernatural weirdness.

We had George Washington as king of America in Assassin's Creed 3 and now London's most notorious serial killer is reimagined as Scarecrow from Batman, right down to the hessian sack mask, in Assassin's Creed Syndicate's Jack the Ripper DLC. See for yourself in the video below.
