Team Ninja has three new games for TGS

To appeal to action audiences worldwide.

Ninja Gaiden developer Team Ninja apparently has three action games ready to unveil at the Tokyo Game Show, which takes place in early October.

That's according to Yasuharu Kakihara, president of parent company Tecmo, who was speaking at a Japanese press conference yesterday (watched by IGN).

Details were scarce, but the trio of titles are said to appeal to a worldwide audience. Clearly spiky-haired kangaroo boxing with tea breaks and high scores, then.

The games could, of course, be "Project Progressive" or "Dead or Alive: Code Cronus", which have both been whispered about by Team Ninja but never unveiled.

This may also mark the end of a traditionally Xbox-based development focus; following-on from Ninja Gaiden: Sigma on PS3 and Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword on DS.

Word of the projects arrives in the middle of merger talks between Tecmo and KOEI, after the former rejected a takeover bid by Square Enix.
