Small Final Fantasy XIII-2 delay

From winter 2011 to early 2012.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released early 2012 on PS3 and Xbox 360, Square Enix has announced.

The date comes at the end of a new E3 video for the Final Fantasy XIII sequel.

The Final Fantasy XIII-2 video shows returning heroine Lightning meeting and fighting alongside a new hero. The battle scenes are spectacular.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 had carried a release date of Winter 2011. The game remains one of Square Enix's big hopes after a torrid financial year.

Let's hope the slight FFXIII-2 delay signifies an uncompromising focus on quality by Square Enix.
