Resistance 3 beta dated and detailed

Decimate Wales' coastline from next month.

The Resistance 3 public beta kicks off on 10th August for PlayStation Plus subscribers, developer Insomniac Games has announced via the PlayStation Blog.

Everyone else will have to wait, though Insomniac has promised it will open the doors to all in due course.

The trial period will let you test out two maps, one set on Wales' sunny Glamorgan coast, the other in a trainyard in Bogota, Colombia.

Two of the game's five multiplayer modes will be in play: Team Deathmatch and Chain Reaction.

You'll be able to level your character up to lv. 20, buy weapon upgrades and extra abilities, customise your load-outs and unlock new skins.

The full game then launches on 9th September. Take a look at our recent Resistance 3 preview to see how it's shaping up.
