Q Entertainment shaping Peggle for DS

Great game meet great developer.

Q Entertainment, responsible for Lumines and Rez, has agreed to convert Peggle to DS in time for winter.

The popular PC puzzle game will undergo a few nips and tucks performed by the Japanese studio, which will leave the project sporting some unique, casual-to-hardcore "cross-over" features.

All we know so far is that there will be extra levels and reworked controls.

"We at Q Entertainment are honoured to be working with PopCap and view this as a fun, exciting challenge - taking a very popular casual game and bringing it to a more hardcore audience on the DS," said Q co-founder Shuji Utsumi.

Eurogamer crowned Peggle with a sumptuous 9/10 for the voluptuous mix of pinball meets pachinko meets pool. We even hailed the game as our 12th favourite of 2007.

Peggle is available on Steam and other PC places we are too out of the loop to know about, plus is heading to Live Arcade at some point in the future.
