PSP direct Store access next week

Ad hoc PSP multiplayer through PS3 soon.

Sony will be giving Japanese PSP owners direct access to to the PlayStation Store from 15th October. That means no longer faffing around with the PS3 or PC to get at the content there.

News tumbled from a Sony business briefing yesterday, according to IGN, and follows talk of the online shopping service from September.

PSP owners will also be able to launch ad hoc multiplayer games by connecting to PSN via the PS3 from 30th October. Regional favourite Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G will be among the first of the games to take advantage of this.

Meanwhile, The West waits in earnest for any kind of date.
