Nirvana DLC for Rock Band this week

Most of Nevermind on offer.

Harmonix has announced that a seven-song Nirvana track pack will be released for Rock Band 1 and 2 this week.

All seven songs are from Nevermind - the album that was either promised or suggested as Rock Band DLC over a year ago depending on your point of view.

Anyway, the seven songs are "Breed", "Lounge Act", "On a Plain", "Polly", "Something in the Way", "Stay Away" and "Territorial Pissings".

Given that the first Rock Band already has "In Bloom" and Rock Band 2 ships with "Drain You" on the disc, that just leaves "Come as You Are", "Lithium" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" unaccounted for. Unless you count secret track "Endless, Nameless".

The seven-track pack will cost 880 Microsoft Points (GBP 7.48 / EUR 10.56) on Xbox Live and USD 10.99 on PSN for the lot. Individual tracks cost 160 MSP (GBP 1.36 / EUR 1.92) on Live or USD 1.99 / GBP 0.99 on PSN.

As with Rock Band DLC in general, the Xbox Live versions will be released tomorrow, Tuesday 21st October, with the PSN versions following on Thursday 23rd October.

Rock Band 2, which is out in the US already, has yet to be given a release date in Europe, but we keep hearing whispers about November - as reportedly mentioned on a recent British TV advert.
