NFS:HP PC patch set for early next week

Multi-core CPU users saved.

A patch for the PC version of wicked arcade racer Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will release early next week, developer Criterion's said.

It fixes problems relating to multi-core CPUs, missing rain and snow effects and other bits and bobs. The fixes are detailed in a forum post.

"Thanks to all the players who helped us track down and identify the problem," said the Guildford developer. "We'll detail exactly when the patch will be available as soon as we can. As I said, it's likely to be early next week, but we need to go through the testing and certification systems that are in place prior to release."

Tom reviewed Hot Pursuit earlier this month, and awarded it 9/10.
