Multiple co-op modes in COD: Black Ops

Separate from the single-player story.

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia has said that Call of Duty: Black Ops will include multiple co-operative modes separate from the single-player story.

Single-player and competitive multiplayer are as you'd expect, Lamia told MTV. "And then co-op is for when you want to have a blast with your friends, just sitting on the couch and having an awesome co-op experience.

"We're crafting unique co-op modes around that experience, but it is different than what people think."

We've heard previously that Black Ops will feature at least one co-operative mode that supports between two and four players.

Following the game's full unveiling last week, community man Josh Olin also said that multiplayer development was the studio's first focus, and that single-player designers had actually been able to draw on MP assets to assist in building the campaign.
