More Fable II DLC in development

But there's no Woss Fable III deal.

Microsoft has pooh-poohed Jonathan Ross's claim that he has been invited to provide a voiceover in Fable III, but has confirmed plans for more Fable II DLC.

Following on from the game's BAFTA success earlier this week and Ross's accident with Twitter, Microsoft has told GameSpot that it has "no agreement in place with Ross to work on forthcoming projects". Burn!

On the plus side, "We are working on additional content for Fable II. That's all we can say for now." Lionhead concurred on the game's development blog, with community manager Sam Van Tilburgh commenting: "The team here in Guildford is working on some new content right now! More information will be shared in the coming weeks."

Lionhead has already released one pack for Fable II, Knothole Island, which introduced a new play area accessible by boat with its own quest chain and side missions, although it wasn't all we hoped for.

On this week's blog, Lionhead also reveals that Fable II has sold 2.6 million copies worldwide, and that over 66 million Achievements have been unlocked, with just over 1m of those conferred for the selfish ending. Aren't we all sweet?
