Indigenous Alaskan platformer Never Alone gets stunning new launch trailer

Release date now set for next week on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Native Alaskan folklore-based platformer Never Alone has received a gorgeous new trailer ahead of its release next week on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Originally developer Upper One Games announced a 4th November release date, but that clearly didn't happen. Now it's advertised for an 18th November release, which really means 19th November for Xbox One and European PSN users. It will cost $14.99 (about £9).

Never Alone follows the story a girl named Nuna and her fox companion as they investigate the cause of an endless blizzard. It can be played either as a co-op game or as a single-player affair where you switch off between characters.

Never Alone's most unique claim to fame is that it's actually developed in association with Native Alaskans as part of an initiative launched by the Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) in Anchorage. It's also headed by the creative director of Mechwarrior 2 and Interstate 76, along with former Crystal Dynamics and id Software staff.

For more on Never Alone, our Chris Donlan interviewed the Cook Inlet Tribal Council's CFO about the game.
