Gauntlet DS crusades to October

Sports Wi-Fi co-op and deathmatch.

Eidos has settled on an October release date for the DS remake of Gauntlet.

The game, developed by Backbone Entertainment of Age of Kings DS fame, had once upon a time been expected back in June.

Still, ambitions are high; Gauntlet DS will feature Wi-Fi co-op for four as well as competitive multiplayer, plus voice chat support for players.

The familiar quartet from the arcade will return - Elf, Warrior, Wizard and Valkyrie - and there will be around 40 levels to bash through.

Head over to our Gauntlet DS gallery to see how the game is shaping up.
