Eurogamer announces Rezzed: The PC and Indie Games Show

From the people behind the Eurogamer Expo.

Eurogamer is delighted to announce Rezzed: The PC and Indie Games Show, coming to Brighton this July.

We're cramming all of the best bits from the Eurogamer Expo into a show all about PC gaming, both high-profile and indie. So expect plenty of hands-on time with games not yet out, plus developer sessions, tournaments, retro machines and more.

"PC and indie games are enjoying huge success now after years in the ascendancy and we want to draw more attention to that fact."

Rupert Loman, managing director, Eurogamer Network

We've already secured a load of games for the show floor, like Aliens: Colonial Marines, but most of them are still under wraps. We'll pull the curtain back on those in the coming weeks.

There will be plenty of new game experiences to discover in The Leftfield Collection, sponsored by SEGA. It's a collection of up and coming indie titles curated by the editors of Eurogamer and brainy PC sister site Rock, Paper, Shotgun.

Top developers including Creative Assembly (Total War) and The Indie Stone (Project Zomboid) will be presenting their work in the Rezzed developer sessions. And we've got many more sessions still to announce.

Q2DM1 - playable at Rezzed!

Rezzed will also feature a range of surrounding activities, including classic game tournaments (Quake 2! Duke Nukem 3D!), a large vendor area (pick up the latest PC hardware, merchandise, board games and more), a range of retro arcade machines and on and on and on.

"Following last year's hugely successful fourth Eurogamer Expo, we're broadening our horizons for 2012 by introducing a new summer event to highlight the best of PC and indie games," said Eurogamer managing director Rupert Loman.

"PC and indie games are enjoying huge success now after years in the ascendancy and we want to draw more attention to that fact and give people the opportunity to get up close to the biggest names and games before they're released."

Tickets are now on sale at www.rezzedgameshow.com, priced £12 for one day or £20 for a two-day ticket.
