Beyond: Two Souls set for October

Announces co-star Willem Dafoe.

Quantic Dream's upcoming supernatural drama Beyond: Two Souls is set for an 8th October release in North America and simply listed as October for Europe, according to the PlayStation Blog.

Also announced is that Spider-Man and Speed 2: Cruise Control co-star Willem Dafoe has joined the cast as a government scientist named Nathan Dawkins, who's tasked with analyzing protagonist Jodie Holmes' (Ellen Page) strange powers. Sony has released a brief scene starring Dafoe below wherein he meets Jodie as a child. The game will span 15 years of the troubled girl's life.

Additionally, Sony revealed that North American pre-orders through GameStop/EB Games will include an exclusive 30-minute additional chunk of DLC. Pre-orders at the popular chain will also grant buyers a free upgrade to the Beyond: Two Souls Special Edition that includes nifty steelbook packaging, extensive behind-the-scenes features, the game's soundtrack, a PS3 theme and an avatar bundle.
