EVE Online hits another milestone

Phase seven of beta testing!

Icelandic developer Crowd Control Productions has dragged their EVE Online MMORPG kicking and screaming into phase seven of beta testing, announcing the installation of a new server cluster to boot. What's more, the Non-Disclosure Agreement which binds EVE players to silence will be dropped within a week, as the game's capacity edges above 100,000 players.

"This is a very big milestone for EVE as we are getting close to the game going gold," said Reynir Hardarson, art director and co-founder of Crowd Control. "We cannot thank our testers enough," he added.

EVE Online is due out simultaneously in the US and Europe on May 6th - from Simon & Schuster across the pond and from Crucial Entertainment over here.
