Quake 3 gold?

Christian Antkow of id Software updated his .plan with the message "Gold!!!! ph34r!!!!!!!!" late last night. It looks like Quake 3 Arena has finally gone gold!

For those of you living in a yurt in Outer Mongolia, Quake 3 Arena is a multiplayer-focused first person shooter, and the follow-up to id's million selling Quake and Quake 2. If Activision are as fast as GT Interactive have been with Unreal Tournament, we could see Q3A on shelves within a couple of weeks...
