Unreal Epic Developer Day in London

Engine and tonic.

Gears of War maker Epic will invite all Unreal developers and those interested in developing to a creative hot pot called the Epic Developer Day.

It's going down in London on 13th and 14th July, and involves various sessions and lots of hobnobbing.

On Wednesday it's the turn of the licensed Unreal developers to wax lyrical about the tools. On Thursday it's the turn of Unreal University, which offers guidance to people curious about delving into the Unreal Developer Kit.

Epic's Mark Rein had this to say: "We think European Unreal Engine 3 licensees, and prospective licensees, will get a lot of out the Epic Developer Day. It replicates some of the successful sessions we hold behind closed doors during GDC in San Francisco minus the large travel expense of actually going to California. The developer day itself is an NDA event where we discuss some of the inner workings of the engine.

"Unreal University is open to anyone and is great way to get a leg up on learning how to use Unreal Engine 3 via the Unreal Development Kit. Participants will get hands-on experience building games, including a playable iOS game. We ran Unreal University at the East Coast Game Conference this year and participants absolutely loved it. It's a great way to get started with the Unreal Development Kit which has already been installed by over 800,000 developers worldwide."

If you fancy popping along, toddle over to the event sign-up page. There's a form for Wednesday and a form for Thursday.
