UK Mortal Kombat tournament launched

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced a tournament designed to unearth the UK's best Mortal Kombat player.

The final will be held at The Gadget Show Live in the NEC in Birmingham on Sunday 17TH April. First prize: a full size Mortal Kombat arcade machine containing PS3 console.

To make it through to the final, though, you'll have to enter the qualifying rounds, which take place from 14th March to 4th April at GAME and Gamestation stores across the UK. There's more information over at the Mortal Kombat Facebook UK Tournament Event page.

The game itself, developed by Ed Boon at NetherRealm Studios, launches in the UK on 21st April.
