Summer Games Done Quick raises $3m for Doctors Without Borders
An inmedical success.
Summer Games Done Quick has raised a record-breaking $3m for its chosen charity, Doctors Without Borders.
That total is over $500k higher than GDQ's previous record of $2.4m for Prevent Cancer Foundation, set earlier this year.
This year's Summer Games Done Quick ran from 23rd-30th June in Minneapolis, with more than 180 speed-runs completed. Alongside your usual Marios and Zeldas were runs of this year's Resident Evil 2 remake, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy and the brilliant Tetris Effect.
That's a wrap for #SGDQ2019! Thank you so much for supporting this amazing, RECORD-SETTING week, and we'll see you at: #GDQx2019 in San Diego, CA from September 27-29
