A demo version of Blizzard's blockbusting PC RTS StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is now available to help coax sceptics off the fence.

The free trial, available on Blizzard's Battle.net hub, lets you play through the game's first three missions as well as giving you unlimited access to skirmish mode as the Terran race. There's no online support though, so you'll have to play against an AI opponent.

You don't need a Battle.net account to access the demo, but you will need to sign up should you decide to upgrade to the full game.

The long-awaited sequel to the 1998 PC strategy classic finally launched earlier this year, scoring a well-deserved 9/10 from Eurogamer's Oli Welsh.
