Square Enix working on new action game

It'll be made in the new LA studio.

Square Enix is setting up a new development team in Los Angeles, with a view to making an "action-oriented original IP game".

Job listings posted on Gamasutra and Square Enix's North American website revealed the publisher's western ambition, with the plan to build a studio in El Segundo "from the ground up".

The post read: "We are making an action-oriented original IP game here in sunny Los Angeles. We are looking for motivated master programmers to lay the foundation for a solid development team."

Tellingly, the senior programming position requires experience on Xbox 360 and Wii, and applicants must have at least one published Xbox 360 game on their CV. OMG BIAS.

Square Enix has yet to provide further comment.
