Sony has no plans to cut PS3 price

So says chief financial officer man.

Sony doesn't intend to cut the price of PlayStation 3 in the near future, according to the company's chief financial officer.

Nobuyuki Oneda, as he's known to friends, told Smart Money, "Our strategy is not to sell more quantity for PS3 but to concentrate on profitability."

Just to be clear he added, "Our plan is not to reduce the price."

The price cut is not likely to be announced at Sony's E3 press conference on Tuesday. Because there isn't one. Price cut, not press conference.
