PSP still winning hardware race in Japan

Wii trailing in second place.

The PlayStation Portable was the best-selling games console in Japan again this week week with 64,449 units sold, according to Media Create.

The Wii was in second place with 49,047 units followed by the DS, which sold 37,404 units.

PS3 is outselling PS2, with sales figures standing at 9071 and 7189 units respectively. Xbox 360 is still in last place, selling 1947 units, but that figure does represent a rise for the second week running.
