Floaroma Town Pokémon, trainers and items

Floaroma Town is a small - and unsurprisingly, flower-filled - town that marks your next stop on the journey. There are a couple of things to do, including collecting a few items and berries and, crucially, collecting a gifted Mew and Jirachi (two ultra-rare, Mythical Pokémon that are only ever recieved via special gifts) from the elderly couple, if you have Pokémon Let's Go and Pokémon Sword or Shield save data on your Switch respectively.

Available Pokémon

Otherwise, access to Floaroma Meadow in the north-west is blocked off by a couple of Grunts for the moment, so head east onto the very beginning of Route 5 and past that, Valley Windworks.

Valley Windworks Pokémon, trainers and items

As you head east out of Floaroma Town onto the bottom of Route 205 (the main part is blocked for now, so we cover Route 205 on the next walkthrough page), you'll encounter a young girl who tells you her father's missing - he's stuck in the Valley Windworks with a load of Team Galactic Grunts!

Head over to the building on the eastern end of the route and battle the Grunt guarding the door.

When you defeat them, they'll run inside and lock themselves in, telling you there's only one other Works Key that'll open the door, and it's being looked after by the other Grunts over at Floaroma Meadow!

Head back to Floaroma Town, and go to the north-west corner, which'll now be clear for you to access Floaroma Meadow.

Go to the Meadow and defeat the pair of Grunts there, and then head back to Valley Windworks.

Inside, more Grunts wait for you - defeat them all, including their leader, Commander Mars, and the Scientest there will be saved. He's that little girl's father, who's very glad to have him back!

That Scientist will also let you in on a secret, that a special Pokémon will appear outside the Valley Windworks building once a week. It's a Drifloon, and it only appears on Fridays - this is the only way to catch a Drifloon in the game, so it's worth visiting here on a Friday to come get one!

Finally, there's also a Honey Tree on this route - the different-looking yellow-brown one. If you put Honey on it (which you get for the first time by beating the grunts back at the Meadow) and then wait a short while, a Pokémon will appear there. There's a tiny chance of this being either a Heracross or Munchlax, which are two very rare Pokémon! There are plenty of these Honey Trees all over the region, so you know.

Floaroma Meadow Pokémon, trainers and items

When you can first access Floaroma Meadow, you'll need to take down a couple of Team Galactic Grunts here that are hassling a man for some Honey - and get the Works Key as a result.

There's also a Honey Tree, which, by slathering in honey, you can attract Pokémon to.

Later on, you'll be able to access Floaroma Meadow from a different location by using the Surf HM, but for now, head back to Valley Windworks, and then when you're all done there, it's on to your next destination: Route 205!
