No more Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector's Editions will be made before launch

You can still get the digital edition, says BioWare.

No more Mass Effect 3 Collector's Editions will be made before the game's launch, BioWare has confirmed.

The Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector's Edition, which costs £70 in the UK, is sold out on a number of US shop websites.

On Amazon.com, for example, a note on the Xbox 360 version product page reads: "Due to high demand (and possibly the imminent Reaper invasion), we have unfortunately run out of our pre-order allocation for Mass Effect 3 - Collector's Edition for Xbox 360.

"We are looking to secure additional allocation from the publisher and will update this page if that occurs. Please note - if you have already pre-ordered this edition - do not cancel as you may not be able to re-order."

Disgruntled fans took to the BioWare forum to call on the EA-owned developer to increase pre-order quantities.

But BioWare has confirmed this is not possible - telling gamers they should have pre-ordered months ago, as advised.

"Sorry, there simply cannot be any more physical CEs made before launch," wrote BioWare community coordinator Chris Priestly.

"The items included in the physical edition cannot be made in time for launch. Sorry, it will not happen. This is why, back in November, I started warning people that the CE would run out."

Priestly suggested buying the digital edition if you failed to pre-order the boxed Collector's Edition.

It should be noted that you're still able to put your name down for the Collector's Edition from GAME. But for how long?

Mass Effect 3 launches in Europe on 9th March.
