Clock Tower movie in the works

Jason X writer to script.

As if there weren't already enough cinematic adaptations of videogames in the works, US website Dark Horizons is reporting that a movie version of Clock Tower is on the way.

Clock Tower, you may recall, was a survival horror series from Capcom that appeared on both the PlayStation and PS2. Apparently the film will be based on the third game, which followed the adventures of a young girl called Alyssa. She was tasked with escaping all manner of monstrous spirits, using brains rather than brawn.

New company Mayhem Project has hired Todd Farmer to write the script. Farmer also did the screenplay for Jason X, the one where everyone's favourite homicidal hockey player wakes up to find him on a spaceship in the 25th century. Draw your own conclusions.
