EA trails Fight Night sequel, Sims 2 expansion

CEO Larry Probst estimates both will be released in the first three months of 2005.

In what's rapidly turning into EA Day here at Eurogamer, we're also of a mind to tell you that the uberpublisher has identified the first three months of 2005 as a good time to release the next instalment in its Fight Night boxing series, and the first expansion pack for The Sims 2.

Although the publisher has yet to officially unveil either game or provide any details, CEO Larry Probst told an investor conference call that it was very likely the two games mentioned would be released in that time period - along with a new MVP Baseball game, although we doubt many of you care about that.

The last Fight Night title, released on PS2 and Xbox, was quite well received in some quarters, while The Sims 2 was very well received and obviously topped the charts, and most expect to see a shower of expansions released over the next few years.
