Bits And Bobs: Monday News Roundup

(Updated throughout the day.) Richard Burns Rally goes gold (which probably affects traction), and Chrome Hound becomes Metal Wolf Chaos. Woof.

Richard Burns Rally has "gone gold" and should be available in Europe on PS2 and Xbox from July 9th. According to publisher SCI, Richie "breathes new life into the rally genre". SCI also points out that the UK Official PlayStation 2 Magazine described it as "eye-bleedingly fast, ultra realistic and totally exhaustive," and gave the game eight marks out of ten. We'll let you know whether it's any good if and when SCI sends over review code.

From Software has apparently renamed its latest 3D mecha action game for Xbox. No longer will it be known as Chrome Hound. Instead we're to call it Metal Wolf Chaos. Which won't be too much of a stretch for us, given that we don't really know a whole lot about it - other than it's a ten-player Xbox Live compatible mech combat sort of thing involving giant robots. And that you can learn ever so slightly more about it by looking at From's teaser site here. It's due out in late 2004.
