(Updated throughout the day.) Win a Sonic Advance 3 print signed by Yuji Naka, Codename Gordon released on Steam, full FFVII: Advent Children trailer available on the net.
Sonic Advance 3 is due out in Europe on June 18th, and to celebrate publisher THQ has managed to get the Hedgehog's esteemed creator Yuji Naka to sign 25 exclusive SA3 prints, and now plans to give them all away via its website. All you have to do to win one is register on THQ's website and then answer a relatively simple question about Sonic's origins before the closing date of July 17th. Codename Gordon, perhaps better known as "Half-Life 2D", has been released via Steam this week. Created by Nuclearvision Entertainment, it's a side-scrolling adventure inspired by the events and scenarios of the Half-Life titles, and at around 50MB it's clearly worth a go for novelty's sake if nothing else. Although having had a quick go on it just now (research, ya see), we can safely say we'll be playing it for more than mere novelty value. All you have to do to download is log on to Steam, right-click on the Codename Gordon entry on the Games menu and click Install. Or you could download it outside Steam using something like FileFront.
Square-Enix has released the E3 trailer for its computer generated Final Fantasy spin-off movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. It's available to stream right now in three sizes (the largest of which is about 20MB) from the DVD movie's official website. And apart from the cheesy gravely-voiced Hollywood narration, it's a feast for FF fans giving us an extended look at some of the phenomenal action sequences glimpsed in the previous trailer, and pressing our nostalgia buttons with its familiar, heart-warming theme music. We recommend you give it a look.
